MyLedgerBook

Trust

Security & your data

Your books contain some of the most sensitive information your business has — your income, your customers, your tax details. We treat it that way. Here, in plain language, is how MyLedgerBook protects your data and, just as importantly, how we keep ourselves accountable to you.

Your data stays in the EU

Everything you enter is stored on servers in the European Union (Germany) and handled in line with GDPR and Irish data-protection law. Your data does not leave the EU.

It's encrypted

All traffic between you and MyLedgerBook is encrypted (HTTPS). Sensitive identifiers such as your PPSN are encrypted at rest, shown only in masked form in the app, and never written to our logs or put in web addresses. A PPSN is Ireland's national identifier — we handle it accordingly.

Your data is yours alone

Every account is strictly separated. You can only ever see your own businesses and records, and no other customer can see yours. If you run more than one business, each one's books are kept properly apart.

We don't browse your books

Running MyLedgerBook does not mean we sit and read your data. Our internal operator view shows only account-level information — names, plan, activity counts — not your ledger, invoices or figures. There is no "browse any customer's books" button, by design.

Transparent support access — the part we're proudest of

Occasionally, to help you with a support issue, our team may need to look inside your account. When that happens, it is never quiet or unaccountable:

In short: we can't look at your account without a reason, without telling you, and without leaving a written record you can read yourself. Most software never shows you this. We think you should see it.

Extra protection on your account

You can turn on two-factor authentication (2FA) for your login, adding a second layer beyond your password. We always recommend it.
